As a COACH I have nurtured athletes from various countries - from youth age group to Olympic final. Some of the international athletes were former German national junior record holder in the pole vault, Lars Börgeling (5.62m/5,82m), Scottish decathlete and Commonwealth bronze medal winner Jamie Quarry or South African pole-vaulter Elmarie Gerryts (4.45m) to name a few.
As a MANAGER I have built the athletics section at the reputable sport academy ASPIRE in Qatar, leading a team of 14 international coaches from 10 different countries in both the athletics and S&C section. The most prestigious success was the Bronze Medal at the 2012 Olympics for former ASPIRE student-athlete Motaz Barsham. On the management level, I had developed and implemented together with my team a process management system in the athletics section, which was validated “committed to excellence” by the EFQM.
As a SPORT DIRECTOR for the German Volleyball federation, I took the challenge to step into a new sport. Being responsible for Volleyball and Beach-Volleyball the continued development of the performance plan was on the top of the agenda.
