"Zoom fatique" and tired of online lectures and workshops? After the long and often tiring online sessions, the time for personal exchange finally comes again. The pandemic has shown us many opportunities for digitization, digital transformation and online teaching is certainly an important instrument when it comes to individual and flexible teaching formats. But as always in life: The combination of different ingredients creates the desired success !
With the new offer Lectures by the Lake I combine both online teaching in the form of short tutorials as well as classroom sessions with an innovative face-to-face format. Because the heart of the Lectures by the Lake is - as the name suggests - a multi-day seminar at Lake Berzdorf, which combines (sports) management seminars, workshops, cultural and sports activities. Following the idea: inform - inspire - motivate! |

Görlitz - also known as “Görliwood” - is located in eastern Saxony, in the triangle between Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
In the historic old town with its 4,000 monuments, several successful film productions such as “Grand Budapest Hotel”, “Inglorious Bastards” or “The Reader” have been shot in recent years.
Many people think that Görlitz is not only the most beautiful town in Germany, but one big architectural work of art with a European format. The large heritage area offers both a rich history and a splendid presence. The city saw its greatest heyday in the early modern period thanks to cloth and woad trading. Due to the favourable location on the Neisse River and the Via Regia, a central European trade route leading from Kiev to Santiago de Compostela, Görlitz developed into an important centre of trade, culture, architecture and craftsmenship.

Just a few minutes away from the city’s splendid old town, a nature paradise is waiting: 960 hectares of glittering water, sandy beaches and the deep green of the 420 m-high Landeskrone, the city’s local mountain.
The Berzdorf Lake (Berzdorfer See) south of Görlitz and the guest house “Kretscham” in a historic distillery, only 200m from the lake, offer ideal conditions for an active seminar.
In addition to the seminar, joint sporting activities on the nearby beach from beach-volleyball to stand-up paddling or mountain biking are possible.
The owners of the guest house wanted to create a place with rooms for encounters and togetherness, for vacation or seminars, with good food, stimulating conversations and in a natural environment.
The old houses of the Kretscham have been renovated with lime, clay, wood and natural colors and all guest rooms are individually furnished.

This 4 day compact seminar is the ideal event at the end of the semester to summarize the previous sessions and also to gain new impressions and ideas on selected topics of leadership, social impact, change management and intercultural management.
This event is exclusively for my students of the University of Europe for applied sciences. |

- 3 hours of workshop & guest lectures
