Genau 20 Jahre nach meinem ersten Marathon wage ich mich 2017 zum zweiten Mal an die 42,195 km lange Strecke. Vor 10 Jahren war ich drauf und dran in Dubai zu laufen, aber mein beruflicher Zeitplan hat mir meine Pläne durcheinander gewirbelt. Jetzt also 2017 und vor einer Haustür - in Berlin ! Gekommen ist mir die Idee in Beirut bei einem Auslandsprojekt und ich kann nicht sagen, daß ich von vorne herein den Marathon im Sinn hatte. Als ich aber den ersten Lauf über 2 Stunden geschafft hatte, war die Idee geboren: “Lass mal das Projekt Berlin Marathon 2017 angehen!. Das könnte klappen.” Und natürlich nicht irgendeine Zeit - nein: 3:30 Stunden sollen es schon sein. Also begann das Training im April und bis heute habe ich 17 Wochen, 119 Trainingseinheiten und 793 Km Laufeinheiten absolviert. Die kommenden Wochen werden spannend, da nun einige Test-Wettkämpfe kommen … 10Km City-Lauf Berlin und Halbmarathon in der Nähe von Leipzig. Nur Training ist auch langweilig … Keep you posted

Exactly 20 years after my first marathon I venture in 2017 for the second time in the 42.195 km course. 10 years ago I was about to run in Dubai, but my professional schedule has shaken up my plans. So now in 2017 - and on my doorstep - in Berlin!.
The idea of the marathon project grew in Beirut during a sport development project for the German Olympic Confederation and the Lebanese Ministry of Education. First I had some doubts, but when I had made the first run over 2 hours, the idea was born: "Let’s tackle the Berlin Marathon project 2017 !. That could work, "And of course, not just any time - no. 3:30 hours should be the target time. So the training began in April and to date I have 17 weeks of training, 119 sessions and 793 Km running sessions completed. The coming weeks will be exciting because of some test competitions coming up ... 10Km City-Run Berlin Half Marathon near Leipzig. Only training is too boring ...
