The ASICS-sponsored "I move Lebanon" project, run by the Canadian NGO Right to Play, saw the first 15 teachers and coaches in the South Lebanese Tyr for "IAAF Kids' Athletics" coaching course last week.
The goal of the six-month project is to train 30 physical education teachers and trainers working with Lebanese and / or refugee children to teach the Right to Play method for communication and violence prevention and to bring athletics for 6-8 year olds to schools or local sports organizations. In the next six months, teachers will be offering twice-weekly training in schools and communities, reaching around 900 children directly through the program. The coaches and teachers of Right to Play will continue to be actively involved to ensure that they are carried out. Leave a Reply. |
